Life & Times | Ep. 4 | DRT 11: Nikki Goes Fast.

by Chase Parnell – October 13, 2019

The DRT 11, directed by Lark Running, is a brand spanking new 11 mile point-to-point race just a few minutes south of Bend, Oregon. The course meanders along the Deschutes River from Benham Falls to LOGE Camps. It’s definitely a bomber course and will get those legs turning with a net loss in elevation.

Nikki’s goal for the day: RUN FAST. She decided to hop in this race last minute, really to just get a killer workout in and jumpstart her fitness. She’s running the Deception Pass 50k on December 14th so her plan is to start ramping things up with the DRT 11 serving as her first tune-up.

We had a blast out there. The kids were shockingly well behaved for the most part. Neither of them took an accidental swim in the river or tripped up any runners, so it was good!

I hope you enjoy this video. Nikki wasn’t so sure about the music I put in. I think she called it a mix of jazz and rap?! I like it. Let us know what you think all around. If you haven’t subscribed to our YouTube channel, please do!

Much love.
